How does intermodal transport work?

Intermodal transport combines rail and road transport, without transhipment of your goods. Your goods are loaded into a swap body or semi-trailer. This is then loaded onto the train and taken to the destination terminal, where it is finally delivered by our various lorries.

Our aim is to optimise the different modes of transport used, reducing our carbon footprint as much as possible. Intermodal transport illustrates our commitment to providing solutions that are both sustainable and economical.

Our expertise

Our Belgian and Italian teams, made up of intermodal transport experts with over 20 years’ experience, determine the most suitable loading method for each product. They choose from over 500 available units to guarantee safe transport. What’s more, we optimise the composition of the train of wagons, taking into account the constraints of length and total authorised weight.

This expertise enables us to manage all the logistical aspects with precision, adapting our services to the specific requirements of each customer. Our varied fleet facilitates the transport of a wide range of products, while our customised solutions guarantee seamless coordination and total satisfaction throughout every link in the chain.
